Encompass Developer – remote
We are seeking a skilled Encompass Developer with experience in Ellie Mae's Encompass Connect and SDK to support our mortgage technology initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Encompass platform development, including business rule configuration, custom input forms, integrations, and automation using APIs and Encompass SDK. You will work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to deliver scalable, compliant solutions that streamline loan origination and processing.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain custom solutions within the Encompass platform using Encompass SDK, APIs, and Encompass Connect.
- Configure and optimize business rules, input forms, and custom fields.
- Design and implement automated workflows and loan processing scripts.
- Integrate Encompass with third-party platforms, internal databases, and web services.
- Collaborate with business analysts and end users to gather requirements and translate into technical designs.
- Troubleshoot issues related to Encompass configuration, automation, and performance.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Participate in testing, quality assurance, and deployment processes.
- Provide support and training to users and stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as an Encompass Developer or similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Encompass SDK, Encompass Connect, and Encompass Developer Connect APIs.
- Proficiency in C#, .NET, VBScript, or JavaScript for Encompass plugin development and customizations.
- Familiarity with Mavent compliance integration and other Encompass plug-ins.
- Experience with Encompass Personas, custom input forms, and field logic.
- Solid understanding of the mortgage loan lifecycle and LOS systems.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and system integration techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ellie Mae Encompass Certified Admin or Developer certification.
- Experience with ICE Mortgage Technology suite beyond Encompass.
- Knowledge of MISMO standards and regulatory compliance.
Experience needed
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years ICE Mortgage Technologies Encompass administration experience
- 3+ years in advanced coding of business rules and custom workflows within Encompass using Visual Basic .NET
- Experience with Pricing Engine Integrations, Mavent, Partner Connect and other ICE Mortgage Technologies Network services.
- In-depth understanding of the mortgage industry and loan origination life cycle.
- Experience working with custom loan document generation libraries, including troubleshooting experience, preferred.
- Experience creating business rules using scripting tools, JavaScript preferred.
