PMO Project Manager – hybrid
The PMO Project Manager performs professional work leading the successful delivery of various projects and initiatives in Innovation and other business units across the organization.
This position would be hybrid, working 3 days a week in the Columbus, Ohio office and 2 days a week remotely. During the first couple weeks of training, it could be up to 5 days a week in the office.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Provides oversight on projects to ensure requirements, deliverables, and timelines are met
- Interfaces and communicates directly with third party contractor's project manager as applicable
- Provides leadership assistance as needed surrounding various initiatives including but not limited to client's Strategic Plan
- Leads internal project teams consisting of part-time team members assigned by project stakeholder management. Communicates with, and schedules internal resources as needed to perform project assignments per the project schedule. Escalates schedule conflicts and resource availability issues to management for resolution
- Schedules regular team meetings, documents meeting minutes, assigns and tracks performance of action items, and communicates project status via weekly/monthly status reports and/or face to face meetings with internal project stakeholders
- Acts as Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager to ensure the third-party contractor performs work at a quality level that meets client's requirements
- Engages internal resources as needed to verify quality performance and successful completion of deliverables, and obtains sign off approval on the deliverables
- Plays an active boundary role between internal staff and third-party project teams
- Maintains complete project documentation as required for Federal grant reporting purposes, as needed.
- May be required to be available through a mobile device via voice and/or data during and outside of normal working hours, at the manager’s discretion, and must respond within a reasonable timeframe
- Manages and provides leadership for their project staff. Ensures the organization meets its EEO responsibilities by assisting in identifying problem areas. Takes corrective action as necessary, on a timely basis, and in accordance with policy
- Performs other duties as assigned; and
- Regular, predictable and punctual attendance required.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, computer science, or related field and two - three (2-3) years of experience managing a wide range of complex projects required.
- PMP or ITIL certification preferred.
- Knowledge of Project Management Software, and the MS Office Suite of products, including, but not limited to, Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint;
- Skills in verbal and written communication;
- Skills in delivering presentations to management at all levels and to external audiences;
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external resources to resolve potential conflicts and maintain a teamwork atmosphere; and
- Ability to define problems, research issues and develop logical and practical solutions within the framework of general principles of project management and the policies and procedures of the organization.
