Finance & Office Administrator
We are hiring on behalf of a Columbus, OH company seeking a Finance & Office Administrator to support their Financial Controller with day-to-day accounting operations and general office management tasks. This is an on-site, Monday-Friday role with the potential to convert to a full-time, permanent position after a successful contract period. A CPA designation is highly preferred, but candidates with strong accounting experience and attention to detail are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Finance
- Support day-to-day financial operations, including:
- Payroll processing
- Accounts payable
- Running and reviewing expense reports
- Assist with transition to new payroll provider (Paycor → Ahola)
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Assist with month-end processes and general ledger entries
- Collaborate closely with the Controller on ad hoc financial tasks
- Serve as first point of contact: answering phones, greeting visitors, accepting deliveries
- Manage general office administration such as booking travel, ordering supplies, and coordinating maintenance
- Provide scheduling and logistical support as needed
- Help keep the office running smoothly and support a positive work environment
Qualifications:
- CPA strongly preferred, or equivalent accounting experience
- 3+ years in an accounting, bookkeeping, or finance admin role
- Experience with payroll systems (Paycor or Ahola a plus)
- Comfortable in a small office setting and willing to take on a variety of tasks
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal visibility
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems
