Data Scientist – remote
A remote contract opportunity is available for a Data Scientist who will work alongside a Sr. Data Scientist from the Enterprise AI team to plan, execute, and report on generative AI projects of diverse scope. Independently applies various generative AI, natural language processing (NLP), and data science techniques. Independently performs research, analysis and modeling, and present findings.
EST hours are preferred.

Must Have for this role:
- Looking for a Data Scientist who can work with content acceleration team, agile team.
- Someone with AI experience who can work with cross-functionally involved in the entire AI/ML model development lifecycle from design to deployment.
- Looking for Production experience with ML, NLP, and GenAI systems.
- Level of education: PhD preferred, but will accept an MS with equivalent experience
- Experience with LangChain/LangSmith is nice to have.
- Experience with AWS & Azure is preferred.
- Experience with the K-12 educational ecosystem is added advantage.
- Required minimum 1-2 years of experience.
What you'll need to be successful:
- Demonstrated experience applying AI and data science techniques to solve problems in a professional setting.
- Experience with techniques like LLM prompting, LLM orchestration, natural language processing (NLP), and model evaluation and testing.
- Demonstrated ability to independently perform research, analysis and model, and report on findings.
- General knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, semantic similarity, and embeddings.
- Systems or program requirements: Python, data science Python packages, LLMs, LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain or LlamaIndex)
- Collaboration, planning and organizing, modeling and analysis, communication, verbal and written reports
- Level or Years of Experience: 2+ years of work experience as a data scientist following graduate education
