Functional System Architect – hybrid
As a Functional System Architect, you will be part of the Interconnection Services team delivering technology solutions to address business problems and opportunities. Focus on translating specific business requirements into technical solution architectures including application architecture, integration architecture, data architecture, and non-functional requirements around supportability, resiliency, security, etc. Translate general business requirements and business trends in architecture patterns and technology ecosystems including data center architecture, application architecture patterns, integration architecture patterns, technology standards, non-functional technical requirements, and computing paradigms.

Essential Job Functions & Tasks:
- Designs, develops, implements systems or system changes to meet advanced business needs.
- Provides functional support of applications within Interconnection Services.
- Manages the development and implementation of projects including defining functional requirements, developing and coordinating application testing and coordinating project implementations.
- Provides application support by assisting support staff in investigating and resolving application issues.
- Works with business unit employees to define, analyze, design and document business processes and associated applications.
- Coordinates changes with other applications and ensures compliance with functional and architectural standards.
- Participate in the preparation of technical procedures, documentation, manuals, and reports and training.
- Maintain technical industry knowledge and understanding of client infrastructure.
Basic Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, IT or Engineering, Math or Statistics,
- 5 years of experience with Bachelor's Degree or 7 years of experience with Associate's Degree
- Self‐directed and dependable to produce high‐quality work in a timely manner.
- Contribute to the development and unity of the team's work.
- Bring strong technical decision‐making skills to the team.
- Demonstrates good listening skills and a sincere understanding of client business needs. Ask questions to clarify understanding.
- Relates on a personal level; positive friendly and engaging. Outgoing and comfortable in diverse groups.
- Uses Communications Technology (voicemail, e-mail, Internet) effectively balancing with appropriate face to face communications.
- Able to read reactions of an audience and adjust delivery style to fit the audience.
- Able to develop and present business documents and reports clearly, concisely and effectively.
- Demonstrate strong training and presentation skills.
- Technical Experience (experience with similar tools is acceptable):
- Platform: .NET 10
- Database: MS SQL
- Tools: ArgoCD & GitHub Actions for CI/CD and Openshift for application hosting
