Client in Columbus, Ohio has a contract opportunity for a Cybersecurity Engineer who will be responsible for planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading security measures for the protection of client data, systems, and networks.**Candidates will work onsite in Franklin or Madison County.
Responsibilities:
- Responding to all system and/or network security breaches
- Testing and identifying network and system vulnerabilities
- Evaluating the organization’s security needs and establishing best practices and standards accordingly
- Taking appropriate security measures to ensure that infrastructure and existing data are kept safe
- Perform scheduled and ad-hoc vulnerability scans across networks, servers and endpoints.
- Analyze scan results, validate findings, and prioritize remediation based on risk and exploitability
- Partner with IT team and application teams to coordinate remediation and verify fixes
- Tune scans and reduce false positives to improve data accuracy
- Develop vulnerability metrics, dashboards, and executive-level reports
- Conducting testing and scans to identify any vulnerabilities in the network and system
Required Skills & Experience
- Network security and threat detection experience – 12 years (Required)
- Incident response and vulnerability management experience – 12 years (Required)
- Experience administering Qualys – 12 years (Required)
- Remediation documentation and patch management process experience – 12 years (Required)
- 4-year college degree – Highly desired
- CISP Certification – Highly desired
