A Procurement Contracting Manager is needed for a contract opening in Newark, New Jersey. The role will manage the development, negotiation, and implementation of technology and telecommunication contracts.- Hybrid and remote – need to go in office 2x per week, possibly more but manager is flexible
- Driving is required; must have a valid driver’s license
Responsibilities:
- Handle more large projects for infrastructure, application development, cybersecurity and operation technology.
- 40% RFP, 40% contract negotiation, 20% sourcing and procurement tasks.
- This position will be responsible for the day-to-day activities associated with purchasing, procurement, and property management.
- Responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating non-disclosure agreements, subcontracts, consulting agreements, vendor agreements, teaming agreements, and modifications as well as assisting in the development of related policies, procedures, and templates.
- The Contract Manager will also serve as the property custodian for property under prime contracts.
- The Contract Manager will be expected to regularly handle complex and dynamic issues related to contracts, especially in relation to compliance with federal rules and regulations applicable to contracting with the federal Government.
Requirements:
- BS degree preferred but not required.
- Must be well-versed in contractual language, know common risks associated with contracts, and negotiate and red-line contracts.
- Must have experience with information contracts, software and hardware IT services.
- Must have 6+ years of large contract management experience
- IT or procurement experience a plus
- Technology in utilities or telecommunications is a plus
- SAP, Ariba, and Ironclad are used for contract management
