Project Cost Analyst
We are seeking a Project Cost Analyst supporting utility and construction projects by managing budgets, forecasts, cost analysis, and reporting to ensure accurate project financials.

- Support project managers by coordinating cost analysis, budget tracking, and forecasting across multiple projects.
- Monitor project budgets and ensure accurate reporting of project costs.
- Prepare forecasts, cash flows, variance reports, and estimate vs. actual analysis.
- Assist with budget input in corporate systems and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support project lifecycle activities including work order creation, procurement coordination, and vendor integration.
- Communicate financial updates and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide training, develop tools, and implement process improvements for project cost management.
- Ensure compliance with organizational project management standards and governance.
- Mentor lower-level employees and support continuous team development.
- Bachelor's degree + 1 year of relevant experience, or Associate's degree + 3 years relevant experience.
- Experience in utility operations, project management, cost tracking/analysis, forecasting, budgeting, or construction.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work onsite 5 days per week in Columbus or New Albany, OH.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Exposure to corporate accounting or project cost management systems.
- Knowledge of earned value management, project scheduling systems, or construction environments.
- Experience mentoring or training team members.
- Ability to support continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Experience collaborating with vendors and external partners on cost integration.
