We are seeking a Buyer/Analyst to support procurement specialists with sourcing and purchasing activities for vehicle and equipment needs across multiple business units. This role works under occasional guidance from senior procurement professionals and is responsible for executing purchase orders, supporting supplier negotiations, and ensuring procurement processes align with established guidelines. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in procurement systems and supplier coordination.Responsibilities
- Execute procurement activities for vehicles and related equipment, including issuing purchase orders in accordance with established guidelines
- Support the evaluation of supplier bids, assist in negotiations, and contribute to supplier selection decisions
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand operational needs and align procurement strategies accordingly
- Assist in resolving purchase order discrepancies, including pricing issues, change orders, cancellations, and other commercial concerns
- Coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional partners (e.g., legal, risk, and operations teams) to address terms, conditions, and specifications
- Contribute to supplier relationship management and support strategic sourcing initiatives
- Utilize procurement systems and analytical tools to track, analyze, and report on purchasing activities
- Support the use of blanket purchase agreements where appropriate to streamline procurement processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory Management, or a related field
OR- Associate degree in a related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant procurement experience
OR - Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, inventory management, or business operations in lieu of a degree
- Associate degree in a related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant procurement experience
- At least 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement across multiple product categories or business units
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with procurement systems and tools
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience with enterprise asset management or procurement systems (e.g., Maximo)
- Exposure to supplier negotiations and contract support
- Knowledge of sourcing strategies and supplier management practices
- Experience working in regulated or operationally complex environments
