Our client is looking to onboard a Loss Time Adjuster, contingent worker, to work in the Atlantic states / specifically Virginia. This role will be a remote job so location could be anywhere.This role will be a Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week. If this person would like to work in an office, they would be able to work in the Charleston, WV office.
This role is to cover a vacancy on the team. This contingent role could possibly turn into a full-time position at some point. The full time position is not guaranteed at this time but may become an option later.
Responsibilities:
- Manages workers’ compensation claims (mainly indemnity, some medical only) for the states mentioned.
- Investigate compensability, assess exposure and set appropriate reserves.
- Manages medical and indemnity benefits as needed.
- Communicates with business partners, such as agents and policy holders, timely and effectively.
Required:
- Experience needed: 2+ years loss time adjuster experience.
- Skill set needed: time management skills, effective communication skills, problem solving skills.
- Candidate would need to know: Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams.
- Candidate must have jurisdictional expertise in the Atlantic states, Virginia is must have.
