Location: Plain City, Ohio (Located 5 minutes from Dublin, OH)
Schedule: 1st Shift | Full-Time
Summary
We are currently accepting applications for an experienced CNC Programmer & Machinist to join our client's Fabrication Department. In this role you will be working with horizontal & vertical mills using conversational, Haas and Fanuc Cnc controls. Focus will be on machining one-off or short-run details & weldments. This is a high-skill, low-volume role — ideal for someone who thrives on building complex parts from scratch and enjoys a combination of programing & hands on execution of the build process.
You will be operating a variety of CNC mills, creating and modifying CAM programs, performing machine set up & tear down, quality inspections, and supporting our department supervisor. The successful candidate will demonstrate an attention to safety, highly detail oriented, schedule driven, have an eye for quality, and possesses a positive and inquisitive attitude. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate horizontal and vertical mills
- Use conversational programing, Haas and Fanuc cnc controls
- Offline Programming using CNC CAM Software
- Machine large custom weldments based on drawings & 3D models
- Machine small detail blocks based on drawings & 3D models
- Plan and perform complex unconstrained weldment setups
- Work on low volume 1-4 parts per job, then move on to a new project
- Use forklifts and rigging techniques to safely handle large components
- Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and deliver quality parts
Required Qualifications
- 3 yrs experience programming CAM software in a manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma/GED is required
- Minimum of 3 years prior experience in a CNC Fabrication environment, documented training accepted in lieu of experience
- Understanding of machine setup
- Understanding of weldment machining best practices
- Excellent attention to detail, with an eye for quality
- Must possess troubleshooting skills in order to work through basic machine operations, and quality issues
- Must be able to use measuring devices including scales, calipers, micrometers, and tape measures
