Lead Cross-Functional Delivery
- Own planning and execution for medium-to-large cross-functional initiatives.
- Develop integrated project plans that align teams around shared objectives.
- Coordinate activities across Product, Engineering, UX, Architecture, QA, Operations, and other business partners.
- Ensure projects deliver intended business outcomes—not simply completed tasks.
Drive Planning and Execution
- Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans and ensure teams deliver against intended outcomes.
- Establish and maintain clear milestones, timelines, dependencies, and success measures.
- Monitor project health and proactively address risks before they impact delivery.
- Keep initiatives moving forward by identifying and removing obstacles.
Build Alignment Across Teams
- Facilitate communication between technical and business stakeholders.
- Lead project meetings, planning sessions, and decision-making discussions.
- Surface tradeoffs and recommendations to support informed decisions.
- Foster collaboration and accountability across multiple teams.
Manage Risk and Change
- Identify project risks, assumptions, dependencies, and constraints.
- Develop mitigation plans and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Coordinate organizational readiness activities for significant releases.
- Strengthen team operating rhythms (planning, retrospectives, status reporting).
- Help teams become more predictable, efficient, and adaptable to changing priorities and evolving business needs.
Improve Delivery Excellence
- Promote consistent project management practices across initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve planning, communication, and execution, and drive improvements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of PMO processes, templates, and operating models.
- Support a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous learning.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong project management fundamentals including planning, scheduling, risk management, scope management, and stakeholder communication.
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Ability to bring structure and clarity to ambiguous situations.
- Strong facilitation and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Experience leading teams and projects in Agile, hybrid, or traditional delivery environments.
- Comfortable partnering with engineering teams and understanding technical concepts well enough to manage delivery and dependencies. Software development experience is not required.
- 3-7 years of project or program management experience.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred but not mandatory
- Real-world experience carries more weight than certifications or degrees
- The strongest candidates will demonstrate:
- Ownership and accountability
- Ability to create plans where none exist
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Experience navigating ambiguity
- Risk identification and mitigation
- Process creation and governance
- Leadership within Agile environments
- Cross-functional collaboration across Product, Engineering, UX, QA, and Architecture teams
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting software or SaaS product development.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar collaboration tools.
- PMP, CAPM, Scrum, Agile, or similar certifications.
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Specific PM tools such as Asana or Monday.com
- Deep technical hands-on experience
