Client is looking to onboard a medical only adjuster, contingent worker, to work in the Atlantic states / specifically Virginia and Tennessee. This role will be a remote job so location could be anywhere. This role will be a Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week. This role is to cover a medical leave on the team, we are not looking to convert this to a full-time role.Work location – Remote, including initial training, unless candidate prefers to be in an office. The Charleston, WV would be an onsite office.
High Level Responsibilities:
- This role manages workers’ compensation claims (medical only) for the states mentioned.
- Investigates compensability, assesses exposure and sets appropriate reserves.
- Manages medical benefits as needed.
- Communicates with business partners, such as agents and policyholders, in a timely and effective manner.
Requirements:
- Experience needed – 2+ years, medical only adjuster experience.
- Candidate must have jurisdictional expertise in the Atlantic states / specifically Virginia and Tennessee is a must have.
- Skill Set needed – time management skills, effective communication skills, problem solving skills.
- Candidate would need to know: Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams.
